Baljit “Bal” Dail

President, Strategic Initiatives

As President of Strategic Initiatives, Baljit “Bal” Dail is responsible for partnering with leaders across the organization to advance select initiatives focused on driving the company’s and our client’s growth. Dail was previously President of IRI Global, responsible for the commercial functions and the Retail business in NA, the EMEA and APAC businesses and the RSi acquisition. 

Previously, Dail served as a senior adviser at New Mountain Capital (NMC). After joining NMC as Managing Director in 2012, he helped IRI maximize the value of its Liquid Data® technology platform for clients. He also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JDA Software, a global market leader in supply chain software serving the CPG and retail sectors. Under Dail’s leadership, JDA developed a new strategy and brand, increased sales, enhanced its partner ecosystem, and completed a material investment by Blackstone Group L.P. 

In addition, Dail served in several executive roles at Aon Corporation, including Chief Executive Officer of Aon Hewitt Consulting, Chief Executive Officer of Aon Hewitt, and Chief Information Officer of Aon Corporation. Prior to joining Aon, he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, focused on the technology and telecom sector. He began his career in the technology group at Marks & Spencer, a leading retailer in the United Kingdom. He served in various roles at JP Morgan, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Ford Motor Company. 

Dail is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors for Model N, a software company in the revenue management space, and previously served on numerous boards in the technology, business services, and energy sectors. 

Dail graduated from the University of Warwick with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife and children.
