A leading personal care brand wanted to optimize sales and reduce excess inventory for its holiday gift packs since they are not replenished during the postseason.
The Solution

The Solution

By improving the accuracy of seasonal gift pack forecasting, the personal care brand worked with a retailer to optimize seasonal sales. Using Circana’s data at the store, item, and day level, the brand analyzed last season’s performance and missed sales from out-of-stocks.

The Results

Based on this analysis, the brand provided store-level recommendations to the retailer for better order forecasting. As a result, the retailer increased its orders during an eight-week seasonal period and grew incremental sales by millions compared to the prior year.
