Shows the percentage of store sales volume where a product is promoted.

Definition

Percent ACV with Merchandising measures the weighted distribution of stores that feature a product with any merchandising support like display or feature.

How to Calculate

Divide the ACV of stores promoting the product by the total ACV of all stores, then multiply by 100.

Why it Matters

It indicates how much promotional support your product gets in high-volume stores, which can boost sales.

Key Advantages

Helps assess the reach of promotions and plan future merchandising strategies.

Example

If stores promoting your product represent $500 million of a $1 billion market ACV, your % ACV with Merchandising is 50 percent.

Use it to

Determine the share of category selling volume in which the item received merchandising support by reading the ACV of stores with features or displays. Separate distribution sufficiency from execution sufficiency and size the lift available from improving compliance.
